Students
The IDEA alliance is on hiatus for the remainder of 2010 due to budget cutbacks. Homeland security courses are offered locally at member institutions. Browse the Alliance Catalog and contact the individual universities about when courses will be offered.
Students admitted to any Alliance university may enroll in any Illinois IDEA approved course without transferring or applying to another institution. Alliance courses are delivered online. Students from as many as eight Alliance universities will study together in these courses.
Register by following these instructions:
- If the course is offered by your university, register as usual.
- If the course is offered through an Alliance university, follow these steps:
- Visit our Alliance Universities page
- Locate your home university
- Contact your Campus Coordinator and register
Each university approves the Alliance courses through its regular curriculum approval process, and expert university faculty members teach all courses. New courses are being approved for each semester, so check back often and discover new opportunities.
If you have questions about Alliance courses, please contact your Campus Coordinator.
Are you ready to take an online course? Use our Online Course Readiness Tools to check.
