The IDEA alliance is on hiatus for the remainder of 2010 due to budget cutbacks. Homeland security courses are offered locally at member institutions. Browse the Alliance Catalog and contact the individual universities about when courses will be offered.
The Illinois Board of Higher Education approves two new homeland security degrees at Western Illinois University. WIU now offers an emergency management degree and a degree in telecommunications management. Graduates of these programs will be prepared to coordinate disaster response and crisis management activities as well as provide disaster preparedness training.
